school started a couple of weeks ago. right now i'm grabbing every chance to go out and sleep. i heard from previous batchmates that the senior year erases the word 'sleep' in the vocabulary. the fact that i am on my last year in college is still surreal to me. i am excited and anxious. but then again, sabi nga ni sir lim, hangga't may panahon kang paghandaan ang mga problema, magiging maayos ang lahat. god help me. give me grace to straighten up and fly right.

nonoi started his first week at his new office. i hope he does great. i know he can do it.

Wide knowledge is nothing if you are not able to share
with others what you know. Being able to communicate
properly to people is very essential in order to be
successful. The good ideas and chunks of information
about anything under the sun would be totally useless if
one does not have the capacity to get his points across.

As a family man, one has to lead his group. In his case,
his family. But how can the family, the basic unit of a
community, function well if its components, the
individual members, are not informed of their own duties
and tasks? The family man is then given the
responsibility to be able to extend down to his members
what he has to say, and make sure that his thoughts
are properly understood.

It is inevitable that the units surrounding the
well-functioning family will soon notice the benefits of
having good communication between each other.

hijras and lady boys

i got to watch national geographic channel's feature on hijras, lady boys and other gays from some southeast asian countries. i'm glad that there really is more to their desires of changing their appearances. but on one hand, i am saddened by the fact that although every gay wants to be treated equally as the normal man and woman, only very few are willing to work for it. i was shocked to hear one who was being offered a job and yet he demanded that all of them be given jobs, else, he wouldn't do it. he should've been happy that at least somebody was giving him a chance to prove everyone wrong; that they aren't just people who could do nothing but perform--a euphemism for begging for money.

but anyway, toom's (the beautiful boxer) story was touching. i was inspired, really. his story urges me to do my best in whatever field i choose. hardships now, reap fruits later.

nonoi and i checked out sm mezza's model units today. asked help from an agent. they were ok. good enough. simple but i have other plans/designs in mind. we're planning to get one for ourselves. looking for 2 other partners, though. haha! with the considerable amount of a unit, we have to share the small space with other peeps. of course, we're going to get good friends of ours. i so wish i'm working. at least i can start paying for a unit of our own. hopefully when things go well for us, i'll ask help from mark, our interior designer-friend. i wanna get engineering done and over with! no plans of practicing the profession here in the philippines. i'm not going to get anywhere with the pay. sure, sure. you might think i'm very materialistic but hey, although money isn't everything, it IS a whole lot of something. besides, i think--no, I KNOW i WILL do better in other jobs and have the time of my life. fulfillment and recognition in my field appeal very much to me. no worries about that because i think i have that covered. i will not let myself go to waste doing something i am not happy with.

can't wait!!! good lord, help us.

naiinis ako!!! i have so many pending pictures for layouting. my laptop (yes, apparently i have the permission to own it now) needs reformatting for the nth time and i hope it can support autocad 7, corel draw 11, finale 2007 and adobe photoshop.

doc tak texted me early this morning. he said if i have writing assignments for health today that he can manage, i should tell him because he needs the money. i guess he's saving all he can for their wedding next year.

yahooo!!!

after 7 years, i mean hours, i finally got my driver's license. i had no intention whatsoever to get one today but mom suggested that we go have it today. we came first to city hall and got her residence certificate then off we went to LTO.

grabe. ang daming fixers but we just went with one good 'runner' (an official runner of LTO, mind you) because she proved to be really nice, sincere and helpful. after the medical exam and drug test, we went ahead and applied for a non-pro license exam. the lecture was almost unbearable. the test was even worse! they really changed the whole process (according to most people there and the guys i know) and i was lucky to pass the written exam. after that, the practical exam really put me on my toes. the guy before me failed and when it was my turn, the engine stalled on me twice! totally nerve-wracking! the transmission was awful. ang lalim ng clutch, ang liit ng ikot ng jeep, pawis-steering, at super sabog ang pusisyon ng kambyo.

but anyway...

i was one of the last batch of guys who got his driver's license. super saya namin lahat. parang graduation from college. hehe! 6:45pm was worth the wait. at least we won't have to wait for months and months before we get our card.

org's meeting totally slipped mind. i texted them, apologized and promised to help in any way i can. visit www.mediartrix.com/. we have a new layout. the pics are nice. very laid back in contrast to the previous one. i'm sure the org's gonna be better and more successful this school year. the officers are very promising and the upcoming productions really celebrate our 10th anniversary.
